So on the nineteenth and twentieth of the twelfth month of the year that just slipped out of our grasp (in other words, the 19th and the 20th of December 2009), we held our first ever JCC Sleepover at our dear Chairperson’s house.
We had fun (of course), playing games like guess-the-thing-in-the-box (which we, unfortunately, forgot to take pictures of), guess-the-food-while-being-blindfolded (pictures are available below), and guess-the-lyrics-in-three-listens (difficult, but everyone gave really good answers, or guesses if so, that I was surprised). 2009 was our inauguration year. Our goal was to promote the Japanese culture within the school and providing enthusiasts a platform to express their passion for the Japanese culture.
We had weekly meetings to share our experiences and knowledge about the Japanese culture through presentations as well as hands-on activities. We had also organized Japanese movie outings and regular karaoke gatherings at Japanese karaoke outlets.
